Project Description

Performed installation and testing of mobile data terminals, mobile voice and data radio equipment for 800 buses for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (LACMTA). ADVANTEC’s work included installing all the equipment in the buses including radio communications, mobile computer data terminals, on-board changeable message signs, passenger counters and other related appurtenances.  Also, responsible for diagnosing, removing and replacing failed units throughout the installation process.  in addition to the installation and testing of new equipment, ADVANTEC was responsible for the removal and storage of LACMCTA’s existing mobile radio equipment. All work done was performed at the LACMTA Bus yard garage while regular maintenance of buses is being conducted.
